London, Meyer

(1871-1926)
   American lawyer and socialist leader. He was born in Poland, and went to the US in 1891. In 1914 he was elected to the House of Representatives as a socialist for the immigrant district on the Lower East Side in New York. He opposed the US entry into World War I, and had little sympathy with Zionism.
